Can all waste water go to the septic tank?

All our waste water goes to the septic tank. Is this OK?
No, definitely not. Only water carrying sewage (black water) should go to the septic tank. Wash water from bathrooms and kitchen goes directly to the soakaway, otherwise the tank will become ‘washed out’ and fail.
